He is sleeping!!!!

So we got him down around 9 again just like last night hopefully this time he stays asleep and doesnt decide its just going to be a nap. We have made an hour and a half so far which seems to be a good sign since last night he was up after 45 mins and stayed awake until 1:30am. I feel so guilty that I let him sleep until 12 today, but it was my day off and I have tried everyday for the last week waking him up at the same time and giving him his naps at the same time for the same lenght, yet each night he goes to bed whenever he wants. Does anyone have their baby on a good schedule? I just can seem to do it no matter how hard I try.

We tried to do a strict schedule and put Nicholas down at the same time every day for naps and it just didn't work. Instead, we watched him for a couple of days and when he would start rubbing his eyes, getting cranky, etc we would lay him down to nap and it ended up being within 30 min or so of the same times every day. So we are doing naps on cues from him and it seems to work.

As far as going to bed and waking up, he semi-dictates that as well. He wakes up whenever he wants to (usually around 7a) and we start our bedtime routine around 6:30 or so, having him in bed between 7-7:30p.

Nope he was up at 10:45 to eat so I went in nursed him and he was still asleep so I put him back in his crib and not even a minute later I heard him on the monitor again and when I went back in he was sitting up laughing. So now we are still awake.

He fell asleep at 1:30 and as soon as I put him down he woke back up again. At 2:30 he finally went down for the night. I woke him at 8 though this morning. I have to get him on an earlier schedule. Staying up that late is just tiring.

Haha yeah he was vaery mad about it, but it works for once so maybe it will be good again tonight. He actaully went down at 9:45 and woke up at 11 and 11:45 to eat then stayed down til 7:30, maybe he is actually getting it.
