I can't get this kid to nap for anything!! Occasionally, like today, I can get him to lay down with me and nap but even that is a struggle anymore. I will lay him in his crib and he will cry and cry and I just can't leave him like that, because I know he won't give up. But at bedtime- he cries for 2 seconds, if even that, and he's out. I don't know how to get him back into his napping routine... :(

Same thing here Kim. And if he finally does cry him self to sleep he is so upset he is awake in 10 minutes anyways.

Nicholas does the same - if he does happen to fall asleep, the longest he'll sleep is 30 minutes but usually it's more like 10!

today I layed with Jared and he slept an hour and a half. But I have to lay right there or he wont.

Same with Nicholas and that's fine if I worked the night before and I need to sleep also but on the days that I need to get things done then I need him to sleep on his own!

Still no luck in the crib with naps - he just cries and cries. I don't let him cry longer then 10 min or so with naps, guess I might have to get tough and let him cry longer and see what happens. He did take an almost 4 hr nap with me today, so I can't complain too much!

I just feel like he's going to bed earlier and earlier every night now - last night it was 6p but he woke up at 6:45p but wouldn't nurse or anything and finally fell back asleep with me holding him at 7:15p. Then he woke up for DH (I was getting my hair cut) at 8:30p, took a 4 oz bottle then back to sleep and slept all night until 7a.

we're struggling with naps now too! everything is pushed back an hour from our original nap schedule, and i think he might be moving from 3 naps to 2, which sucks... i just try to put him down when i see hes tired and do the CIO 3 min, 5min, 7 min, 10min... if hes not sleeping after that then i give up and skip the nap or take him for a walk and hope he falls asleep in the stroller...

Nicholas took a 90 min nap this morning for DH of course, when I had someone here to take care of him while I slept - AH! It never freaking fails, then when DH is gone this afternoon - he only takes a 20 min nap!

They like to make liars out of us, huh? They just love their mamas and want us to be there all the time, I guess!

Me too.

Jared takes great naps on Sundays when Dh is home. So I think it is a mommy thing.
Today Jared only took to 20 min naps and was miserable the rest of the day.

He has been asleeep now for 15 minutes.
