Zach has this new thing when he wakes up at night... usually i go in, flip him over (bc he hates his tummy) and hes right back to sleep, but for the past few nights hes been crying still after i flip him over and give him his bink, he doesnt want me to leave his room... i checked his diaper and its usually dry (but wet diapers dont really bother him) Last night i had to lay on his floor at 4am and shhhh him back to sleep, i wound up falling asleep and had such bad shoulder pain when i woke up (an hour later) I'm wondering why he's having this separation anxiety in the middle of the night, anyone else dealing with a similar issue?
also, if i send DF in, he doesnt do this, but there is no way i could wake DF up at 4am to go in Zs room... i think this is my fault for napping with him during the day while he was sick... im dreading when he wakes up tonight, i cannot spend anymore time on the floor

Sorry Keren - I hope he is better for you tonight! Usually when Nicholas wakes up at night, he fusses for a min or two while he repositions then he's back to sleep - we rarely have to go in there.

Keren I am right there with you. When Jared wakes up he screams and screams. And he wont go back to sleep unless I am with him.
I am gonna try not going in tonight. And letting him CIO. I am not sure if I should just ignore him or do the go in every so many minutes.

We usually let Nicholas work it out himself if it's his 'half-awake' cry. But if it's all-out screaming then he won't go back to sleep, so we do get up with him.

Ugh its the age. Ryan and Alex did this. :hug:s to all you ladies. Alex is now at the point where we get him to sleep he is up an hour later either sitting up or standing and screaming his head off. I think he just realizes he is alone. (He usually falls asleep on us during his last milk cup). Unfortunatly he is teething major now and is up a few times till I go to bed. It will get better. :hug:s for all you ladies.

i know im shooting myself in the foot by bringing him into bed with me, but at 4am i cant stand by his crib and i DEFINITELY cant fall asleep on the floor of his room anymore...
i would totally let him cry but his room is right next to my inlaws and i dont want him to be waking them up at night... they've only heard him a handful of times but its just instinctive for me to jump up and run to his room when he lets out that huge scream in the middle of the night... :sigh:
