It was one of the hardest things I have ever done.
When i layed him down he cried himself to sleep. Then woke up several times during the night and only cried about 5 - 10 minutes each time and went back to sleep.

Then at 3 am he woke up screaming. I waited 10 minutes went in and checked his diaper without piking him up. He was dry. So i rubbed his head and said night night and left the room. He continued to cry. So I went in 15 minutes later and rubbed his head. Wispered night night and left the room. And he continued to cry.And again 20 minutes later. Well he fell back to sleep about 5:30-5:45. It was so hard.
But I stuck to the plan and never took him out of the crib.

I know he was not hungry. He had 4 meals and two snacks yesterday. And several 6-8oz bottles. I even Picked him up while he was sleeping at 11:30 last night and tried to do a dream feed.

I tell ya my heart broke during the whole process.
I dont know if I can handle another night:(

I have a Jayden that still wakes up several times a night.. and he's two! I'm sure that I've prolonged it as I never could get myself to do what you're doing with him... I always gave in a gave him a bottle. Now he expects it! Good on you.. you will both benefit in the long run!

If you can continue Chris each night will get easier and the results in the end are a good night sleep for you both.. You know he isn't hungry or anything so just continue doing what your doing. It's hard on us moms to hear our babies cry but it will all be worth it in the end. (((HUGS)))) to you hun...

Good job Mommy...way to stick to the plan. I hope that tonight goes a whole lot easier for you.

It was very hard for me to do that with Mattie. She didn't sleep thru the night til she was 2 1/2...in her own bed. We have done things a whole lot different with Cole and he sleeps in his crib all night.

Sorry Chris - I'm just now getting caught up! The first night was definitely the toughest for us and I felt like a horrible mom but it was worth it in the end and he's no worse for the wear!
