Well Nicholas is back to waking up several times/night now - last night he was up every 2 hrs and it looks like we're on our way to doing that again tonight.
I don't know what's changed - he still has those bottom teeth right under the surface, we can feel the bumps but they still haven't broken thru yet. He eats every time he wakes up, but usually nurses less then 10 min then he's asleep again.
DH thinks he's just getting into a bad habit of needing us to comfort him and get him back to sleep when he wakes up and we need to sleep train again. I'm afraid he's going thru a growth spurt or something and there is a reason for him waking up. We attempted it tonight but after 18 min of listening to him cry - I had enough and went to get him. He took 3oz and passed out again, so we'll see how the rest of the night goes...
All I know is I'm :tired:...

I'm sorry! Megan has been doing the same thing for the past month or so. I seriously doubt its a growth spurt with her since its been going on so long. It is possible thats what it is with Nicholas though. And those teeth might be finally trying to break through. Or, it could be a bad habit starting. I'd give it a week just in case its a growth spurt. Any longer and I would say it might be time to sleep train again.
Now if only I could do that with Megan! She's very loud and would wake up the boys and I already have them waking up and coming to my bed at random times. Well, that and my DH can't handle it and turns into a jerk!

I hope it gets better for you. I know when Logan's teeth started coming in he quit sleeping all night.
Logan has been nursing once a night. I think it's a comfort thing. Last night I pumped at midnight and he woke at 1. Rather than nurse, I put him bed with me with his paci and he went back to sleep. He did wake back up at 2:30 and I nursed and he went right back to sleep.
OH NO! Sorry... I hope it gets better soon. Teeth can definitely make them act that way. Hopefully it will pass quickly!

He was better last night - he woke up about 1.5 hrs after we put him down, ate again, then fussed at midnight (by the time I got in there he was back asleep), then up for the day at 6a. I'm hoping he does okay for my parents tonight and sleeps so they can have a break - since he was up doing this last week for them!

I just hate not knowing what's going on with him! His teeth have been in the same position for the last several weeks, so I can't imagine it's them - unless they are finally moving again and ready to finally break thru...time will tell I guess!

I guess he did pretty good last night - he was waking about every 2 hrs and fussing but mom only went in at 3a and he scarfed down 6oz! Then he went back to bed and slept until 7:30a. So we'll see how tonight goes with them - hopefully he'll do more of the same so mom can sleep!

Yeah, for now - since DH can't carry him with being walker/crutches dependent since his surgery. So they (my parents or my brother and SIL) come up and stay at our house with DH and Nicholas while I'm working and take care of the baby for us.
