So 2 nights before my surgery when I was working, DH decided to let Nicholas fuss for a little while the first time he woke up instead of getting him right away like we had been doing - he fussed for 10 min then slept all night! Then the next night he only fussed (not fully awake cry, just trying to get comfy again cry) for 5 min and then slept all night and it has been that way every night since!
There was one night, I think on Thurs, that he did actually wake up around 5a and cried - I went in but couldn't pick him up because of my surgery- so I cuddled with him as best I could until mom came in and took him back to bed with them until around 7a when he woke up for the day.
So it's been nice - I was afraid he was going to continue the waking up every 45 min all night for DH and my parents while they were staying here helping me - and the whole house was going to be exhausted! Let's hope it continues this time...
