Ok they are pissing me off ...........they always get twisted and its so annoying....... "I" untwist them and it annoys me that it does this then of course DCP does not untwist them........which annoys me too.......but really I thought they were supposed to have the "non twisting straps" ..... oh well ........I can't complain enough about the Scenera or the EFTA because I don't use those seats everyday.......but even when we were using the infant seat, I don't remember the straps always getting twisted that way......

Are you talking about the straps that go over their shoulders?

We just got a Scenera since we can't afford another EFTA right now. I hate that thing. The straps are always twisting. I can't wait until it becomes our back up seat. Our EFTA straps never twisted.

Yup Jennifer the ones that go over their shoulders, they always seem to twist and I have to fix them just about everytime I put gael in, and the velcro thing holding them to the sides does not work to help that problem out........ I mean its not something that I can't do everyday but its just annoying.

Really Marissa? Ours have never twisted, on any of our seats before. That is strange.

I "think" it might be because I usually don't loosen them up to get Gael out I usually just unbuckle him and I can get him out easily but I guess to get him in each time I am better off pulling the straps all the way out............I'll start doing that and see if it helps.........but I have no idea why they twist.......

Maybe Marissa. I always pull the straps all the way out when I take the girls out. Luis doesnt. I will go to put Madelynn in her seat, and the straps are all tight.

lol Jennifer.......I might start pulling them out all the way and see if it works out better, I used to do that with the infant seat always but I fount it easier with the convertible not to pull them all the way out.

Marissa, I loosen my straps every time and even hook them on the velcro and still have to put them on Megan's shoulders and then untwist them. Its usually just one flip but so much for no twist straps! I have as much if not more problems with these twisting than I have had with every other brand of seat (and I've been through a lot of them). And that shoulder pad thing always has a way of flipping over so that the edge with the seam is next to Megan's neck so I'm always adjusting that too! I'm tempted to take those off (can I?!?!?) because lately, they've been getting in the way of getting her straps tightened and somehow cause the straps to pinch the skin on her neck. She's had a few lovely marks on her neck from those things.
I'm not exactly sure how to describe it but I put her in her seat and put the harness over her shoulders. I buckle the bottom and then adust the straps and position those pads on her shoulders (not the hug thingies) and then pull the harness tight and instead of the harness sliding through it, it bunches up and pinches her. Then I have to fix that, slide the hugs up and buckle the chest strap (its the only way to get the harness tight on her, if I buckle before tightening, I can't get it tight). Its taking me 3x as long to get her in her seat because I have to go so slow and carefully and basically keep my hand under the harness so its not right on her neck!

You can take off the comfort pads, I too hate the fact that they always flip! Since I don't pull the straps all the way out I never have the issue of the straps pinching Gael's neck though, I like those little comfort pads except for the fact that they flip around..... but if it helps you can take them off. When I do pull out the straps and then tighten them up I usually have to keep pulling the hugs down as I pull until I have tightened him all the way then I clip the chest clip or sometimes I do it before I tighten it......but yeah the twisting straps do make me icky.

Madelynn still has the pads on hers, but Charlize took hers off.
