Carseats may be unsafe????

I saw this article this morning, it is about the most bland and stupid article I have read on carseats...........this will now give more parents the "thought" taht carseats are a threat..........and if they were putting in their kiddos snug now they will leave the harness straps all loose................ this writer is a dork........talk about not having anythign to write about.

i swear whatever my kid staying in his 5 point harness for as long as he can fit in it !!!!

My pediatrician has told me that if I can't get my childrens mattress elevated (to drain sinus') then to put them in their car seat.

yea that was in the news here too, i think its gay, what i got from it was that you should only have them in the car seat when riding in the car and not to use them around the house etc.

but for moms who can only afford a car seat and cant afford the bouncy and swing and jumper etc. what other choice do they have? its not like they can just leave a baby on the bed or floor.

i used to take Zach strapped into his carseat into teh bathroom with me so i could shower, it was the only way i got peace of mind

I agree Keren, though they should have titled it like "Some people endanger children by using carseats as beds" ...........the article was not very good, but its just the same as bumbos or other things that have had issues with kids on high counters etc.......a lot of people don't use common sense.

Whatever not sure what to think- 5 point harness sound good to me.
