Oh my gosh! I felt my blood run cold reading that. I know that Britax is one of the best carseats they are just so expensive. Hailey has a Graco (5 pt harness) and Carter has a Graco as well. Both of my kids are buckled in and I make sure all points are done. Bonnie (the author) is so lucky that her daughter wasn't hurt. WoW

What matter Whitney is that the seat is well installed, the brand does not matter. I am also so happy her kiddo was out without a scratch!! Which concerns me because Gael rides on the sides on both vehicles that we have the carseats in.......... My Tahoe has captain seats and on my DH's truck the seat cannot be put in the middle because it has a console in the backseat that folds down.........

I wonder - how do I know for sure they are installed properly?

I had the biggest problem with deciding where the carseats would go. When I only had Hailey there was no question, she rode in the middle of the backseat (I drive a Trail Blazer) but when Carter was born, I had no idea where to put her. So Hailey is now by the passanger door and Carter is in the middle. I don't feel safe at all with her being there but I don't have a choice :(

I forgot the statistics but you most likely to have a front end collision than a t-bone one...........I'll have to look for that..........I just pray for our safety everyday.......this Houston traffic is such a mess I HATE it!!

The way I see carseats is that they serve a great purpose and I just think of it like buying designer purses, except I get more out of a carseat :0) My IRL buds always complain about the cost of carseats yet, they are carrying a Prada or Gucci or some type of designer purse they spent over $500 on .........
