When rear facing he would twist alittle and turn his neck and look at us all the time. His straps werent loose either.

I have a friend and her dd is still RF at 4.5 years old. She gets dropped off at preK and the carpool ladies are always shocked she is still RF. She is 32lbs and the car seat goes to 35lbs for RF.

that made no sense... lol he is taller than the height requirements rear facing... I am looking at new seats and taking this into consideration as well as a seat SMALL enough to FIT rear-facing

we have the evenflo titan elite... he's too long to rear face in it... the bottom two slots are for rear-facing... the top two for fwd facing. He is past the bottom top one

We have 2 Britax Marathon's 1 Evenflo Triumph Advance and 1 Cosco Scenera (in the closet for traveling in an airplane)
Natalie 4 1/2 and rear-facing! wow that is awesome!! kuddos to her!
Oh and Gael tries to turn around and look at us from time to time be has gotten acustomed to the fact that it is not an option. I love him rear-facing, safer and he expects less of me while driving ;-)

I am leaning towards the britax's for the replacement seats .. what is your opinion marissa for the britax for older kiddos???
Marissa

I am thinking of the older boys... nathan is 6 - but 42 inches and 34 lbs... and David is 4 42 inches 38 pounds.. I was leaning towards the Graco Nautilus??? and the MyRide for Brian?
Marissa

Yeah I would also go with the Nautilus for the 4 and 6 year old, I have never tried out the seat but by the time Gael gets to that point we'll see what out, One of the Britax seats is also good for older boys either the Frontier or the Regent

That's great!
I've kept mine rear facing until atleast 2 as well. My youngest just went ff'ing a couple weeks ago (she's 2 yrs. 4 mos.), and it was only b/c she hit the 35lb mark so I had to turn her.
My two youngest have Britax (Marathon and Boulevard), and my youngest son (7), has a Graco highback booster. My oldest son (10), was using an Evenflo booster (just the seat), until recently, although he's over 90lbs., b/c he wasn't tall enough. He's out of it now, and very happy! lol

Qwill was to tall his feet were being smashed that is why we had to flip him when he was 18 months old

Thats awesome :) my son turned 2 on April 17th & is still very happily rear facing in his Graco MyRide 65. I'd say we have at least another year or 2!
