I havea small SUV. I have a Toyota Rav4..... and Emma's Safe seat infant car seat JUST fit and DH cant sit on that side of the car.....lol
SO how can I determine which seat will fit bet? I would put her in the middle but then Blake would be very cramped...... and the harness systems are on the sides.....

The LATCH sysytem is on the sides because the center pulls down to be a cupholder.....
I want to make sure the seat will fit rear facing..... before i spend gobs of money KWIM?

Rear Facing Covertible Seats take up less space than infant seats.........in most cases, it sure did in my case.........What you can do is go to Babies R US and ask if you can try out the seat in your car......they will ask for your license.........you can then go out to the parking lot and try it out..........

yea i was gonna say go to BRU and ask to fit them in your car, they will let you try out a few.
will Emmas seat go behind the driver or passenger seat?

It is behind the driver seat becasue when I take Blake to school they get him out and put him in so his carseat HAS to be behind the passenger seat :)

so if Blake is behind the passenger seat why cant Emma go in the middle for now, but i really see no problem with it fitting behind the drivers seat. In DFs car Zach's convertible seat went behind the drivers seat both rear and forward facing

There is no LATCH system in the middle because its primary use is a cup holder (it folds up and down) She will be fine behind me for now....but once DH gets home we'll have to rethink plans...yr
Im gonna go to Toysrus and try them out. I'll let yall know!

You don't have to use the latch system, however check your car manual to see if the middle is usable with a seatbelt for carseats. Many times the cupholder pull down seats are not permitted however look at your owners manual. If it is allowed then use the seatbelt vs. the latch.
