I was in the hospital the day after thanksgiving. i had been clotting and had to have 2 blood transfusions. they did test of corse and when they did the ultrasound the tec said everything was good there was a cyst but it was a corpus cyst. ok so then she tells me i have a long uterus. i did not think much about it later. i now every once in awhile do. is this a bad thing?

There isn't anything wrong with having a long uterus. If anything, it may mean that you could have slightly bigger babies, but other than that, it really is just an observation and not one that would cause any complications. Most womens uteruses (uteri? lol :P) are the size of a lemon, yours is obviously a bit longer, but that isn't anything to worry about AT ALL.

I know that if you were diagnosed with a bi-corn-ate uterus that could be a bad thing but a long one I have never heard of.

I'm not sure but if it concerns you I would ask my ob what she thinks
& ask her what the implications are... if/when I'm pg. She should definetely
know what the implication would be... IF any in your case.

i dont think it would be a problem... I know having a tilted uterus can make it difficult to get preggo

I've never heard of a long uterus although I don't think it would cause much issue. I know mine is tilted way forward. My doc said usually people have trouble getting pregnant when its like that. I got pg the first time I tried with both boys so we (me and the doc) laughed at that comment and I never thought much of it. However, she never noticed it tilted before the boys (she noticed when I got my IUD after my ds2) and my dd took almost 6 months but I don't know if that was because of my uterus or because of timing (trying hard for a girl).

I've been looking around online and cannot find any information on a long uterus which would lead me to believe that having one means absolutely nothing. If it was "bad", I'd be able to find information somewhere!!!
