So who wants to see Jared read?

We have only been working on it for a week. He gets ansty so I could not show all the words he learned but I have a video of a few he did:)
And we have not even got the your baby can read yet. It is taking forever to get here ...lol
We have done what he has learned so far using brillkids software (http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?B=167516&U=411509&M=20261):) And little books I have made:)

I started this because for 2 his vocabulary is very limited with only having like 10 words. But since starting it it has increased his vocabulary and he is learning to read at same time:)

I dont push him we just have fun with it:)

In this video he sort of missed one when we got to pig but I m still proud:)

so cute! Jared is doing good! Zach loves the flash cards too! I'm going to try a fun game like that with him and see how he does. The only word he is consistent with is HI. after that he says that every word is hi. But Zach really enjoyed watching that with me and now is asking to watch the "Baby Movie" which is what he calls My Baby Can Read!

And I love the brillkids software (http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?B=167516&U=411509&M=20261) they have a free trial although i used the paid version. Cause the free one only goes up 9 lessons. But J love it:)
And we watch Monkey see videos too.... which have helped a lot:)

I have a ton of ideas for play I will try to get them all on here for you:)

Zach will say the word when he sees the picture. I need to get more on top of him with it. You're giving me the great motivation to do it tho. We just read through the starter book and he did really well. It is a lot of work but I think you'll really like the baby can read system. Its very easy but just takes a lot of dedication to the program. We're not as committed as we should be so it will take us a little longer. I think next week we'll move on to volume one and see if that does anything. We've been on the starter dvd for over a month so i think i'll move on eventho Zach isnt totally identifying all the words.

Also seeing Jared in his diaper made him take his pants off! hehe

Wow..he is doing awesome for 2 years old! I'm really impressed. Andy still isn't talking...that's why I asked how old Jared was. I'm hoping Andy will start soon. It worries me that he isn't talking, but my first child talked super early so I can't really compare the two.

Same thing here. J is hardly talking at all either. I am hoping the main thing he picks up through all of this is talking. Reading is just a bonus. The other two were talking long before this.

We are supposed to go back to the doctor in May if Andy doesn't start talking. He has about two words, but you have to ask him to say it...like, "Andy say duck" and he responds with "uck"...but he won't just look at a picture of a duck and say anything about it. But if he isn't talking by May or so, they may consider speech evaulation for him. I hope he doesn't have a problem, but if he does I want to make sure we catch it early.

That's amazing! Good job mama! We did the flash cards when Kyara was 2 and got the basic words down, but she wasn't reading actual sentences until about 3 1/2. Its hard work and I love seeing moms like you working with your baby so young :0)
