Anyone care for an update?? :)

Well guys i went to the new fertility consultant yesterday. He told me that me and hubby both have problems..
He's doing another lap for me and blood tests for both of us. Well today i went with the referral letter to our public hospital and they gave me a date there and then..i even changed it to a week later cause i think i might be on that week. So that's it for now..
Oh and doc laughed at my face when mentioning iui. he said he can give me an infection and there's no more success rate then normal sex. :( so that was a bit upsetting...
but at least something new to do...he wants to see if the sludge came back and if so..why.
So now one more month to ttc before Lap....
Hubby is really upset right now and feeling deflated,he keeps saying he's not a man cause if he is he would have alreay impregnated me and don't have to go through another op..
I don't know what to say..i'll want to slap him in the face when he says that..but right now he's in a really bad patch :(

Awww TTC is so hard. I hope that this dr can help you out, I have never heard of some one getting an infection from IUI.

Exactly and I'd like to add to this by saying I've never heard of a doctor saying... 'he can give you an infection??????' You simply don't say that to a patient. Myself being a nurse- I know what is appropriate to say & based on what you say- this is my opinion. My thoughts are .....You won't give a woman an infection if you practice good 'aseptic technique' ...& if you don't practice good aseptic technique then ....that's a doctor I don't want. That is sooo inappropriate to say. .... imo

That statement just makes me mad. It's just wrong. & I question that doctors experience. I'll give you this; there is always a chance of breaking a sterile field hence causing infection but not if your an experienced professional & know what your doing. Just something to think about.

Thanks guys...and Sherry...damn it you're right..now that i think about it how can any doc say that?? Its like me as a hairdresser i say to people i can make your hair fall out! Pfft!
NOw he's the best fertility specialist in Malta and the head and director of gynae and obs department in our local hospital. And he's the head of something in the university of london and something in germany as well...noo idea but he goes abroad a lot!

I hope i get answers soon! Especially with this looong pre af spotting! Its sooo disgusting and hope he tells me something new!
