I look up the menu before I go out and if any questions I call or email the restraunt. The managers at restraunts are very helpful. They could get sued for the wrong info. I also ask about cross contamination. If I am doubt, I bring food. I dare someone to tell me I can't bring food into their establishment.

where i live the health board has the right to shut them down if someone brings food into their establishment. So i wouldn't personally do that. the only exception is baby food or formula but the restaurant isn't able to heat it up for you in their microwave.

For me i don't eat the bread on the table, nothing breaded, no teryaki sauce, if in doubt i get them to check the sauce bottle to see if there's wheat in it, no more ceasar salads (had a very painful reaction a few weeks ago not sure what the exact cause was), no more steak or bbq'd meat b/c of the wheat in the sauce, no MSG, and no pasta.

I bring food all the time. That is interesting. No one has said a word to me about it. Maybe because Ryan is only 2yo.

Yeah we have taken food before...... ?? But maybe the regulations are different from state to state?

we're in BC Canada, it varies everywhere. The head health officer in the city i live in is a stickler for rules and a real pain in the butt. I would bring baby food in when sarah was on that and the restaurant couldn't heat it up they had to bring a bowl of hot water.
