I've been able to stick to CDing as long as the baby poops weren't solid (i.e., we weren't feeding baby food and just BFing)

Well, Nalani had her first non-liquid poop and I'm not sure how to do CDing with that. Do you clean the poop off in the toilet? What do you do?

Normally I'd switch to sposies at this point but things are tight and she's not even CLOSE to outgrowing her cloth dipes so I would like to make this work if I can. But I'll be honest, I'm kinda grossed out about her having solid poops now.

I am not CDing, but babysat a baby that was in high school. The family had a diaper brush that they used.. kinda like a dish brush to kinda scrape it into the toilet... then I rinsed the brush in the toilet and kinda rinsed the diaper with that... It wasn't bad at all really... I could totally do it now if DH was more open to it. Good luck!

I remember my mom doing that, too. On CD websites I'e seen these hoses that you can use. I've forgotten what they are called.

You have a few option
1- Do what I do. Flushable liners. Here are the ones I use. I just line the diaper and then flush all the yucky poop in the toilet. No mess and swishing in the toilet. Well worth every penny. http://www.frogandelephant.com/catalog.php?category=40

2- A diaper mini-shower sprayer. They attach to the toilet and you just rinse the poop in the toilet and it is really easy. http://www.frogandelephant.com/catalog.php?category=25

If you ahve any question, please ask. I am a pro at cloth diaper as I both my kids are still in cloth and we use them 100% of the time
