went from bad to worse! We put him down at 9p, he was up at 9:45p, nursed briefly and was back in bed by 10:15 or so. Then he was back up at 10:45 as we were laying in bed talking about how to get this kid sleeping.

So I scooped him up and went to sleep in the guest room - I was so tired from him not sleeping yesterday, that I didn't even want to mess with staying up half the night trying to get him to sleep on his own. So we were up and down all night - neither one of us sleep well together at night, I think we wake each other up. Then he was up for good at 5:15a, way before my brain is actually ready to function!

I think we decided on Sunday night to take the swing down and jump in with both feet to get him to sleep in his bed. We are going to start a new bedtime routine tonight to get him ready for Sunday. Hopefully I can get thru this new book so we can mostly do it without tears...

What time is waking up for the day? 9pm might be too late to be putting him down

We start the bedtime routine about 7-7:30p, it just happened that last night it took that long to get him to sleep. Normally he's asleep between 8-8:30p. But waking for the day is generally between 6-7a, though the last couple of nights it's been more like 5-6a.

Kim I am so sorry. I think our babies must be twins.

Is he teething? Do you give him anything for that?
How many meals a day is he eating?

Not that the answers make much of a difference because I stuffed Jared and he still woke constantly. And Gave him tylenol every 5 hours. Oh and hylands.

I think he is teething but nothing has popped thru yet. I tried tylenol one night and it did no good. I asked his pedi if it could be his teeth that were bothering him and she said she didn't think it would be waking him up this much. I increased him to 2 meals/day yesterday - one around 10a then the other at 6p - with no improvement last night.

I'm sorry Jared isn't any better for you either. This sucks - why is sleeping such a hard concept to master?! He's been awesome in everything else, ahead on most developmental milestones, but this just isn't going well!
