But I didn't - I was up most of the night worrying about him sleeping in there... :( I'm crazy, I know - now that we're on the way to him sleeping, I need to figure out how to do it again myself!

We did our bedtime routine that we worked out and I laid him down about 7:45p, he cried for a LONG 25 min and I cried along with him, but DH stood his ground like we talked about and wouldn't let me go in there. But he finally fell asleep, waking up every so often thru the night to fuss for a minute or so, then back to sleep. Then he woke at 5:45a so I went in and scooped him up because my boobs were about to explode - he probably would have gone back to sleep but I was hurtin' so it was time to get up! Now he's playing happily in his jumperoo with a full belly!

Hopefully we can keep this up and he will continue to do this every night and then onto work on naps...

That is Awesome Kim! We had a sort of good night. Jared slept from 10 till 2. Four hours straight! He was up from 2 to 4. Then back to sleep from 4 to 7:30:-)

Now I need to figure out how to get rid of that two hours in the middle of the night he is awake.

Like you I did not sleep well. I kept checking him and my mind was on stuff too.

:yay: Jared and Trevor - the stars must have been aligned last night!! And we even laid back down at 6:45a and slept 3 more hours!

Chris - do you get him as soon as he cries or do you give him time to put himself back to sleep? Nicholas woke up several times thru the night but would put himself back to sleep within a couple of minutes without me going in.

I go in and get him. But Dh leaves next week and I am gonna let him cry a bit in the middle of the night while he is gone.

I don't know what is with this kid today - we took another 3 hr nap! I was worried it was from his shots yesterday but he isn't feverish and is acting perfectly normal (other then not really wanting to eat his solids). So I'm definitely plenty rested now for work tonight - yay!! And hopefully since he is rested he'll sleep for DH tonight...

Well I hope your night is going well tonight Chris and you're getting some sleep!

DH said that Nicholas only cried for 3 min tonight before going to sleep, so we are very excited about that! I last talked to him at 11p and he hasn't woken up yet, so my fingers are crossed that they have a quiet night!

That's awesome Chris - hopefully you'll have some luck getting him to sleep tonight if he's rested from napping today!!

Nicholas slept from 7:45p to 6:30a for DH - without waking up at all!! I wouldn't have believed him that he didn't wake up at all, if not for my mom being here because she of course has mom ears and hears everything - but she said no peep either! Then he slept with me for 2 hrs this morning when I got home from work, then took an hour nap in his crib this afternoon!

How did last night go Kim?

We had a strange night - he fell right asleep without a peep at 8:15p then woke up 30 min later and we were up and down with him for the next 2 hrs, then he slept until 8:15a - fussing around 4:30a then again at 5:30a but only for 5-10 min or so before he put himself back to sleep both times.

When he woke up and cried after we first put him down, it sounded different, like he was hurting, so I did go in and comfort him because he wasn't settling back down on his own - thus why we were up for 2 hrs with him again. We ended up giving him some tylenol and then he slept -so who knows.

Chris - how was your night?

Stacey - how is Trevor doing with his sleep?

Anyone else having issues?

Kim Trevor is doing pretty good the past couple of days...I've also turned the monitor off in my room. His room is right next to ours so if he really gets upset I'll hear him. Until he is sleeping w/out fussing during the night I plan to leave it off so I can sleep and also so I don't want to go in there to comfort or feed him. We've been working on him for over 3 wks now so I hope we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Or should I say ME cause I'm the one who is up with him 99.9% of the time!!!

Glad to hear things are improving Stacey! I hear you on it just being you though, I normally let DH sleep thru but last night he pissed me off talking about how tired he was, so I fired back that yes I understood he worked all day but I worked all night the previous night then only slept 2 hrs and still managed to take care of the baby, prime and paint the garage doors, clean the house, do laundry, etc - so his ass was staying up with me! :)

We did okay last night:-)

He slpet from 9:30 till 2:45. Which is awesome for him. Then he woke. We got up and stayed up about 2 hours. Then slept till 6:30.

Stacey I am so goona turn off our intercom when Dh goes to NY. I am hoping it wont take 3 or more weeks though.
Has he been getting better over this time or has it not changed at all?

Stacey

Chris, yes he has been getting better. We started off by putting him to bed when he started getting sleepy EVERY night since 3 wks ago last Thur between 8-9pm and putting him down...the first night he cried almost an hour! :faint: Each night was less time though and now sometimes I can get him down without him crying at all. I also started ignoring him some during the middle of the night. Just this weekend I started turning the monitor off till 4-5 am if I happen to wake up I'll turn it back on. He hasn't cried loud enough to wake me up yet...knock on wood I hope it continues we're finally getting in a pretty good sleep pattern and he even took a 2 1/2 hr nap today and yesterday!!
